The RDS L5P 64mm turbo is an excellent upgrade for your 2017 – 2023 GM L5P Duramax Diesel truck. It is built and balanced in-house with multiple RDS-exclusive components, resulting in an efficiently powerful drop-in turbo, perfect for the daily driver/tow rig setup. To address the core issue associated with the small factory-size turbine wheel, which causes high boost-to-drive pressure when paired with a larger than factory-size compressor wheel, we developed a RDS exclusive nozzle vane cage that allows us to increase exhaust flow, as well as the turbine wheel size for better EGT and boost-to-drive pressure control. Great turbo! I went from factory turbo to a fixed vane turbo. It wasn’t towing the boat how I like it. Sent the factory to RDS, and let them do their magic. It performs exactly the way I want. Pulls hard and smokes the tires!
